Gaggan (68/1 Soi Langsuan, opposite Soi 3, Bangkok) – this is a progressive Indian restaurant — located in a colonial style wooden house set in the heart of downtown Bangkok. Gaggan means “sky” in Hindi, and this 70-year old restored bungalow of sorts, with green gardens, comfortable rooms and cane furniture, make patrons feel like they’re visiting a very wealthy friend. Given the various Indian delicacies served there, diners are advised to order the Tasting Menu. A recommended dish is the the “When India met Italy” Seafood Risotto – a combination of lobster, prawns, clams, and fish — all slowed-cooked with rice and saffron milk.

Issaya Siamese Club (4 Soi Sri Aksornm Chuaphloeng Road, Bangkok) – this is the flagship home for internationally renown Chef Ian Kittichai and incorporates Chef Kittichai’s Thai cuisine and style in a relaxed atmosphere of dining and lounge with a hip garden party vibe – all in an historical 100-year-old Thai villa and its tropical gardens in central Bangkok. In 2014 Issaya Siamese Club was honored to be included in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.
